Roofing material not included but wooden shake shingles, tarpaper, or corrugated tin would be prototypical. While not based on a specific prototype, the layout is typical of many modest miners cabins in a mining town of the era.

Description

Roughly based on this prototype near Jessup, Nevada, the model represents a typical miner’s cabin in many mining towns of the era – some still standing; most in ruins.

The building was of board & batten construction. The original roof was wooden shake; later, it had been covered with tin sheets.

The kit consists of laser cut basswood and 3D printed windows and doors. Uncut acetate is included for glazing; roofing material is not included. Three choices of siding are available at the same price: horizontal 7″ laser-etched boards, 8″ board & batten, or 11″ board & batten.

Other laser-etched spacing may be available. Select “Other” on options and add note indicating preference on the Checkout page. Include email address for communication about your request.
