Shipping prices have increased considerably and seem to change often. Rates vary by weight, size, and destination. We do not offer “Free Shipping” as that would increase the price of the model; the significant cost would have to be included in the price of the model.
Unless requested otherwise, the lowest price service via the US Post Office will be used; this is usually USPS Ground Advantage. Delivery is expected in 2-5 days with tracking service included.
The basic shipping rate for a 1 lb package to most of the country is $11.95. Other than close to the shipping point in SW Idaho, this is the cheapest rate available.
Priority Flat-Rate for small box (8-5/8″ x 5-3/8″ x 1-5/8″ Inside) is $12.65
Priority Flat-Rate for medium box (11″ x 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ Inside) is $22.95

UPS is the alternative shipper without a special request.
The least expensive shipping option by UPS is “Ground Saver”. As an example of shipping costs, consider shipping a 1lb package from Boise to Detroit. Using a UPS Small Box (8″ x 6″ x 5″), the cost as of this writing breaks down as:

Adjustments to shipping charges may be necessary without prior notice. My kits contain a lot of parts and are heavy. My online store will automatically add the appropriate charges based upon current rates. Charges are calculated based upon the weight of your shipment.
Shipments within the USA are made via USPS Priority Mail or USPS Ground Advantage. UPS or FedEx shipping is available upon prior arrangement but will delay the shipping time and incur an additional handling charge.
International Shipping is made via Global Priority Mail. Shipment may also be made via UPS or FedEx upon prior arrangement. Due to fluctuating shipping costs, additional charges will apply if the actual shipping charges exceed the initial amount paid.
Shipping Losses and Damage: Once the United States Postal Service has accepted and scanned your package, I am no longer responsible for any loss or damage. I will assist you in any reasonable manner to recover a lost shipment. In over three decades the lost packages can be counted on less than one hand. It is a very rare occurrence. ALL claims for lost or damaged shipments/items must be made by the customer: Within 30 days of shipment for USA Orders and Within 60 days of shipment for outside of the USA. Claims after these dates will have to be handled directly with the carrier.
Customs Returns: For customers outside the USA, if USA Customs returns your shipment I will be responsible for re-shipment charges, if the destination country customs returns your shipment, you will be responsible for re-shipment charges. No exceptions to this policy. Multiple orders will be combined without a refund of shipping charges paid.
